We're Back

We paused the newsletter for a while. Here's what changed in the ecosystem, and what we've been building.

It's been a while. Longer than we're proud of, honestly.

Here's what you'll find in this edition:

What changed here

WPF Modernization

WPF Modernization

WPF is not going away anytime soon, and rewriting a stable application is rarely worth the risk. That is why we have been refining our approach to WPF to Avalonia migrations: what to reuse, what to isolate, and what usually needs a rework.

We put this into practice on a real financial platform, reusing about 99.9 percent of the existing XAML to bring macOS support without a rewrite.

Qt's Figma Plugin

Qt's Figma Plugin

We have been testing Qt's Figma plugin, the tool that converts Figma designs into QML. We do not have much to share publicly yet, but we will soon be showing something interesting based on our own hands on work with it.

What's next

We're returning to a regular newsletter cadence, and we've got a backlog of technical notes, whitepaper previews, and case studies queued up. If any of this touches something you're building, hit reply or get in touch. We read every message.

We’re excited for new projects!
