What changed out there
Native Wayland Support
Avalonia 12.1 ships a native Wayland backend, removing the Xwayland dependency, plus rendering performance improvements and a new control. Good news for embedded Linux and desktop teams.
AI Skills for Coding Agents
DevExpress's Blazor v26.1 release adds AI Skills, structured instructions per component that coding agents can use to generate accurate Blazor code.
11.0.0 Preview 6
The latest MAUI preview continues incremental refinements across platforms as the framework heads toward its next major release.
What changed here
WPF Modernization
WPF is not going away anytime soon, and rewriting a stable application is rarely worth the risk. That is why we have been refining our approach to WPF to Avalonia migrations: what to reuse, what to isolate, and what usually needs a rework.
We put this into practice on a real financial platform, reusing about 99.9 percent of the existing XAML to bring macOS support without a rewrite.
Qt's Figma Plugin
We have been testing Qt's Figma plugin, the tool that converts Figma designs into QML. We do not have much to share publicly yet, but we will soon be showing something interesting based on our own hands on work with it.
